But, I am a passionate birdwatchers, owner of field trip group. I can guide enthusiasts to the best sites in Bucharest and I also have some excellent herping and birding spots in the vicinity of the city. My wife and friends are also birders, so for sure we will have a good time. I have guided groups through the Danube Delta and the Romanian Alps in the past. I work for the government, so I am only available Saturdays and Sundays. April and September are the best months for trips, but we will manage to have a blast at any given time. Some spots I recommend: reservoirs and parks in Bucharest, some forests and swamps only 30 minutes away by rail. I`m looking forward to meeting new and interesting people. Mihai Baciu is a very skilled birdwatcher, and this year in May we have again booked an exciting tour of 10 days in the Danube delta, where we will have time to explore the lakes and small canals from Tulcea to the Black Sea. We can recommend Mihai as qualified tour guides. He was excellent, one of the finest ornithologists I have ever worked with - and a very nice travel-compagnion too. I can strongly recomend him, not only for has skills in finding difficult birds, but also for his plesant way of understanding the very different needs in a group of 5 with two people in their seventies and two kids aged 8 and 14 and only me as a trained ornithologist. It would be the greatest fun to do the delta and Romanian lowlands with him again.
