Thailand

New World Lodge Hotel
2 Samsen Road, Soi Samsen 2, Banglampoo, Pranakorn, Bangkok
It is easy to get a cab from the airport to here and is a good size, reasonable price with a nice breakfast buffet included in your room. It is much cheaper if you book on line. This hotel I think you want to have reservations or you won't get a room. A lot of backpackers etc. Birdingpals Sandy & Ross Mackintosh
Angkhang Nature Resort
Chiang Mai
Malee's Nature Lovers Bungalows
Chiangdao, Chiang Mai
Malee's has been a mecca for birders for years in the Chiang Dao area. I have stayed here and highly recommend it and would certainly stay again. Carl Clifford
Mr. Deang
Doi Inthanon National Park/Chom Thong, Chiang Mai
Offers good, clean, simple rooms and excellent food, at excellent prices. I have stayed here and highly recommend it and would certainly stay again. Carl Clifford
Jinning Beach Hotel
Hua-Hin
On a street with other guest houses at south end but one can walk to the fishing pier and the beach is very close. Birdingpals Sandy & Ross Mackintosh
Gecko Villa
Isaan plateau of Northeast Thailand
Between three small rural villages, Gecko Villa nestles with its private swimming pool, amongst the paddy fields in the Isaan plateau of Northeast Thailand. This standalone, three bedroom Thailand villa getaway is exclusively yours during your stay.
A & B Bungalows
Kaeng Krachan Nat. Park
At Kaeng Krachan Nat. Park we used A & B Bungalows. Looks like most of the bird tour company's use them also. They are a family run operations and are very friendly, hardly any English, very clean bungalows and will make lunches for the field and serve breakfast at any time and also have a basic restaurant so it is good. Really try to please you no matter what you ask. The prices were also good. Contact Mrs. ChaLong Poin 09 891 2328 at Kaeng Krachan. We met up with Malaysian birders that gave us the phone # and made a reservation because of the language problem. Sign language over a phone is hard. Birdingpals Sandy & Ross Mackintosh
Krabi City Seaview Hotel
77/1 Kongkha Road, Paknum, Muang, Krabi
This place is right on the river walkway and there is a range of rooms available. Breakfast can be eaten on the 5th floor overlooking the river. Birdingpals Sandy & Ross Mackintosh
